Terms of Service

1. What LicenseTrack is — and is not

LicenseTrack (the "Service"), operated by Bright Wire Solutions LLC ("we", "us"), is a reminder and record-keeping tool. It stores license, registration, and expiration information that you enter, and sends you reminder emails based on the dates you provide.

THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL, REGULATORY, OR COMPLIANCE ADVICE. It does not determine, assert, or verify what any law, regulation, or licensing authority requires of you. Links to licensing authorities are provided for your convenience; the requirements published by those authorities — not anything in the Service — govern your obligations.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for maintaining your licenses, registrations, and continuing education in accordance with the requirements of each authority. A reminder email is a convenience, not a guarantee: do not rely on the Service as your only mechanism for tracking legal obligations.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to use the Service; sign-in is by one-time email link. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your email account secure. One login per account at this time.

3. Billing

The Service costs $49/month after a 14-day free trial. A payment card is required to start the trial; you are not charged until the trial ends. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.

Billing is handled by Stripe. You can update your card, view invoices, and cancel at any time through the self-serve billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Your data

The information you enter belongs to you. You can export it as CSV at any time. We retain your data for 90 days after cancellation, then delete it; email us to request earlier deletion. See the Privacy Policy for details on how data is stored and processed.

Uploaded documents are convenience copies, not records of custody. The Service is not a records-retention, archival, or document-custody service, and you remain responsible for keeping original documents and your own copies of anything with legal significance. Documents are backed up with the rest of your data, but we do not warrant their preservation, and Section 6's limitation of liability applies to loss of uploaded files.

5. Availability

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-interruption. Reminder emails depend on third-party delivery networks we do not control; delivery is not guaranteed.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, or licenses — including damages arising from a lapsed license, missed renewal, missed continuing-education deadline, or undelivered reminder — even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

7. Acceptable use & termination

Don't abuse the Service, attempt to access other accounts' data, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do, and may discontinue the Service with 30 days' notice, during which you can export your data.

8. Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before taking effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, and disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Summit County, Ohio.
